Byron is currently the wellness center director for Memorial Clinical Associates and owner of Misfit Strength and Conditioning in Houston, Texas. Born and raised in Houston, he is the son of a retired firefighter and administrative assistant. From them, he learned the importance of physical strength, hard work, and dedication. He is a devoted husband and father of four. He is also a graduate of Rice University, where he majored in political science and sociology, as well as played running back and tight end on the football team. During his fifth year of college, he assisted the strength and conditioning coaches with programming for the football, swimming, and tennis teams. This was the beginning of a passion for strength and conditioning. After college, this hunger continued as a high school teacher and football coach. During this time, he designed the strength and conditioning programs for all school sports in the district. Byron left the education sector after six years to pursue a career in fitness and personal training. Throughout his career, Byron has continued his pursuit of knowledge to improve himself as a person and a coach/trainer. This quest led him to Bobby Maximus and Gym Jones. It was after he attended the level one seminar in August of 2015, that he knew he had not only found a philosophy that he loved, he found a community that would help nurture his growth. Byron is currently based in Houston where, over the last 15 years, he has been fortunate to train everyone for senior citizens and youth, to world championship professional and high school athletes. He continues to use his knowledge and expertise to help his clients understand that with anything the mind is primary.
