SCHEDULE

Gym Jones training schedule, invitation only. Each day we post examples of the training being done at Gym Jones. The database of workouts extends back several years. Use the arrows left and right of the month to navigate toward time periods you wish to view.

The workouts we post are designed for athletes with a long training history. Most have been training here 3 days per week for several years. All are training for a particular sport. These examples are not a recommendation to you; they are a record of what we do. Click on a Workout Type to see its definition.

ASP = 18:11 (The first words out of his mouth after the last Pull-ups were, "You pair of bastards." It was beautiful. He had been planning for a week or so to do "300" tomorrow, was ready for an easy workout today, good sleep tonight and then "boom" on Wednesday. But we sprang it on him today. He said, "the feeling I had when you told me I had to do it today was like coming home and finding out someone had killed my dog ..."

This type of psychic pressure and uncertainty is exactly in line with our bellief that all physical improvements originate in the mind. Athletes who combine high levels of intellectual and physical horsepower are rare, and this is an ideal toward which we strive. In this context "intellectual horsepower" does not mean "smart" it means resilient, resourceful, cagey, sharp ...

Tire Flip, Drag, Sit-up:
Logan = 11:16 ("The Tire Flip & 2x Jump in/out reps are no joke. After the first one you realize what you're in for ...")

KB Clean/Thruster, GHD Sit-up:
MFT = 5:37

Blood, sweat and perhaps a few tears after ASP's voyage with "300"

Chains increase the load progressively through the range of motion. They allow a fast start since they are unloaded at the bottom but one must pull the full load through the second weak point at the top, to get the elbows behind the centerline

GHD Sit-ups, full ROM ... tough with a high heart and respiratory rate
